Hi ho fiber friends greetings once again from me Kat ,  ( aka ) nature’s stitches  I want to touch base on something I offer  Custom made one of a kind needle minders  It has come to my attention that a lot of people are having issues with losing their needles on the floor or couch and their furry companions are stepping on them or worse yet, swallowing them , ( unfathomable) and yet I have heard it happening all over.     With a needle minder this prevents accidents from happening, or the dreaded middle of the night stitching and you can’t find your last size 22 so you can’t stitch till the shop opens in the morning . ( we have all been there )   Needle minders are not only great for all the stitching that’s done  needlepoint , cross stitch and crewel, but they are also good for those people who hand quilt, hand piece or hand appliqué,  Needle minders are a great way to bring a little sparkle...
Well let’s jump in shall we Ok, let’s say you want to dye something pink or blue gray,  You have cool aid Easter egg dye or Rit dye. These are all synthetic dyes and are great and will get you good results  however if you   prefer  the natural approach, red cabbage is the way to go. ( wait did she say red cabbage.) Preposterous you  say ? Inconceivable say you? I say let’s try! Now I’m just giving examples. I will have a chart for you with ratios   or proportions so don’t panic .  I get my pans and Pyrex from good will. If you want to use pans on the stove use enamel pans , Corning Ware pans  or Pyrex made nfor  stove tops or ovens  .  You get better color and no metal interaction .   Plastic spoons or metal spoons are best to use, wooden spoons or tools will absorb color. Hi fiber friends  It is a sunny day today for a change  so I thought I would put some color into our conversation . Spring has sprung but will April showers bring May flowers ?  Well, whether it does or doesn’t, we can make beautiful  colors  with what is all around us. If you haven’t figured it out by now I’m talking about the dreaded dye word.  No, not die as in death, but dye , which is a form of coloring fiber or fabric or threads.     Now in the dictionary it is a natural or synthetic substance used to add or change the color of something.       Before you go running away through the forest  screaming , because dying scares you. Stop and consider this dismaying observation , where would we be without color and the natural and synthetic things that are used to create color    hmmmmmmmm ?  Well, I can answer that.
