Hi ho fiber friends

it’s Been 7 months and 4 days since my last post I have been relatively busy and no excuses . I last posted Feb, in March I went to Vermont for 7 days and upon my return we were amidst a pandemic .

I have been trying to play catch-up ever since. I, like most of the rest of the
United States could hardly believe what was going on let alone try and adjust our lives to such a drastic change that seemed to happen over night. Even though forced to stay home a lot more than normal I never seemed to have the time to write let alone gather any thoughts that would make sense to any one other than myself. My editor / daughter probably would have thrown I the towel if I had written all the things running through my head at the time.
So now here it is, the beginning of September and I am able write with a little clearer mind and possible light at the end of the tunnel .

All though many events this year in California have been canceled or postponed,  Renaissance Fair, Scottish games, quilt shows , Dickens Fair the list goes on, with my beloved Disneyland being among the closed venues. We keep moving forward , with the “ new normal “.

Creating at home has become an avenue for more people who have found knitting, quilting, cross stitch and  Amigarumi to be a new passion and creative outlet. My favorite shops are feeling the drive to branch out and be more of a presence with online shopping, chats and classes, so let’s reach out and remember to support our local creative family.

I am developing of few of my own patterns and dying my own color ways of yarn. Making stitch markers in sets for projects and progress keeps with individual stitch markers for those who just want a splash of fun while working their fiber passions.  I have not forgotten my cross stitchers or quilters. I have a line of needle minders and hand dyed floss but more about that in my upcoming blogs.

I have made a baby sweater that is my own pattern which I am writing out for a test knitter to give it a go. Then it will be ready for it’s debut.
I am currently knitting two children’s sweaters and have  started my own pattern for fingerless gloves.

I would love to know what all of you have been up to these past few months and where you have gotten supplies and inspiration.

Till next time TTFN
