Hi fiber friends I am coming to you from Minden Nevada



This great yarn shop called pioneer yarns.
It’s an amazing shop, close to the Sierras, Lake Tahoe, Kirkwood, Carson city area.The shop has had a new owner since 2005 and in their new location for 6 years  it is a fabulous shop lots of parking easy to get to and yes they are part of the years yarn crawl happening in september. Dates and shops info will be included in my next post.







Kim; one of the people on staff, is very very helpful and personable.  She is so kind and shares a genuine interest in every aspect of your quest or project. Kim will suggest patterns and guide you through Pioneers wonderful selection of fibers, yarns, and needles to find the perfect match for any project you wish to begin.




 There are two great places to sit and knit in the shop. Either at the sofa and chairs in the front of the shop or the back section of the store has a great work table to sit and work on your passion. Workshops and classes are also available, just check the board behind the register, to see all the upcomming events.
There are beautiful yarns every direction you turn,with wonderful samples in all corners of the store. With thier displays, you can see how well the yarns work with the patterns and vice a versa. With Pioneers great shoppers rewards program, I can never leave without yarn and a pattern for a new project.

  Hi ho fiber friends it’s Been 7 months and 4 days since my last post I have been relatively busy and no excuses . I last posted Feb, in March I went to Vermont for 7 days and upon my return we were amidst a pandemic . I have been trying to play catch-up ever since. I, like most of the rest of the United States could hardly believe what was going on let alone try and adjust our lives to such a drastic change that seemed to happen over night. Hi Ho fiber friends Well, like a lucky penny I’m back. I am here to share another Great yarn shop  I found on my adventures a lot closer   to home than I thought. This shop is called Rumpelstiltskin it’s a great little shop a mile away from old town Sacramento right next door   to a lovely tea shop and a wonderful restaurant called the Fox and Goose .
